Khula Development Group is a Non-profit Organisation (034-397-NPO), registered in terms of the Non-Profit Organisations Act, 1997 of South Africa.

Khula is registered as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 933035214) with the South African Revenue Services and can issue Section 18A certificates in terms of the South African Income Tax Act.

Khula can issue level 1 BEE certificates in terms of the Broad Based Black Empowerment Amendment Act, 2013 of South Africa.

Khula Development Group is fully dependent on donation income as funding.  Donations can be made in cash or in kind.

  • The organisation has been successfully evaluated by external funders during the 2016/17 financial year.
  • Khula has an Independent Accounting Officer who provides annual written reports in compliance with Section 17(2) of the Non-Profit Organisations Act, 1997.
  • In terms of the Non-Profit Organisations Act, Khula is not required to be audited, however, since 29 February 2016, the organisation has been audited on a voluntary basis.

Khula received an Unqualified Audit Report for the year ended 28 February 2018
